Silent hill is not silent hill anymore. Silent hill has sucked after the third game. SH4 was OK, The rest suck. SH Downpour also looks OK, but this is a disgrace!

It feels like I have been waiting forever for this game. I’m glad they have the option to remove the shine effect. This game is definitely going to be one of the best in the series.

Looking forward to Downpour. I’ll probably wait for a price drop like I did with Shattered Memories though.

Books of Memories I’m just ignoring because I’m just not interested in the genre. Even if it were still survival horror I probably wouldn’t have bought it.

I went from being excited about first hearing about the new Silent Hill game (Downpour that is) but as I read and saw some E3 videos my interest, unfortunately, started to wane a bit because it looked like an average shooter. Then when it got delayed I was hopefully that they polished it up an added some tweaks. Still keeping my eye on the game for news I’m officially back on the bandwagon after hearing your encounter with the game. I’m hoping for the best and hoping for a good horror game to come out of it. (its been a long, long while. Re4/5 and Dead Space didn’t do it for me) Don’t let me down Silent Hill! 😀

I’m glad you reported on the sound design. That is my favorite aspect to all SH games, so I’m happy that you witnessed it being in this game. I can’t wait!

Well people tend to forget Silent hill arcade which was a on-rail shooter.

So in other words Konami already tried diffrent format of the series already so “fans” dont go around screaming omg Konami is fucking up SH.

As said above both games interest me just wish BOM comes out for psn too.

I always make the mistake buying handhelds or other consoles for one title.

Psp Castlevania X rondo of blood and valkyire profile and SH origins ofcourse though I later got the Ps2 version.

Funny they changed lisa’s hairstyle in PSP version too short only to get her original long hair in ps2 version.

Thought the short hair was to picture a younger Lisa.

Nontheless my psp/ds is gathering dust in a corner now.

Know I will get buyers regret of both 3ds even that console has had price reduction.
Same with Vita so yeah hope for psn version of BOM.

So, in BoM, is the combat controls similar to any other Silent Hill games? Melee attacks have always been wonky to me ever since the first game. That’s something I hope they at least work on.
Is the aiming pretty solid, too?
]’m actually interested in the game and entertained by what it could do. Well, I did say Konami should stretch their muscles with the SH franchise.. Hope this doesn’t suck.

Great previews. I totally understand your concerns for BoM. I’m kinda glad Downpour was delayed too mike. Thinking back it would’ve had a lot of big games to compete against. With 3 games, one on a brand new console, and a movie coming out I’m gonna be a very happy, but poor, Silent Hill fan this year.
