The story was abit tendious. But I loved the starting scene with the Licker that remindet me to the underground garage of RE2, which was epic with the flashlight. And the final fight against the Tyrants was Legendary, they made them really cool. Madam President was also sxy. I prefer the story plot of Degeneration, but since I saw this on 3D DVD this one looked better, on my new 55″ TV ^^ I disliked that the movie reminded me alot to RE4 with all these Plagas infected and the ringing church bells on the churchtower. I think RE4 is indeed a excellent action game, but no real RE and its the unfortunate point where the series started being akward, damn Los Plagas!

Retributi0n was a disappointment for me, especially after the awesome Afterlife movie. It still was a optically beautiful movie but it lacked the magic its predeccor had, and the plot was short and weak, exactly like Underworld IV = Much VFX but no real story, which is really a pity. But a friend of mine and me, we LOVED the awesome Dubstep Music by Bassnectar ( Hexes ), which was the best part of the movie. And of course the Axeman Scenes were very cool aswell. One thing that annoyes me at all Anderson movies is that, he allways promises at the end of the movie something great he is probably not going to keep for the next RE Live Adventure. In Re1 Alice walking out from the RC Hospital, in RE2 the escape ( ok this one wasnt a big promise ), in RE3 the army of clones, and this is the only promise he keeped for the awesome ( but stolen from matrix ) beginning scene of Afterlife. The end of Afterlife promises a battle against upcoming Umbrella Security Service Soldiers and Jill, but there wasnt much of a battle at the beginning of Retribution. So I really hope he well keep the visually stunning promise he gave at the end of Retribution; The heroes defending the white house, surrounded by hordes of Lickers and flying Bat things.. Besides of that it still was Ok, but I expected some story.

I agree to Jorge, that RE6 is very underrated. It is indeed a AAA game, because of all the polishment and Action it has. The story isnt The Last of US like, but it has still one of the better plots, and far better then RE5 in my opinion.

I liked the fightning system of Operation Raccoon City more, because I hate the new Zombies, J’avos lol. But the gunfights of ORC really sucked. But of course, RE6 is the better game. And the animations in the Menu are stunning aswell, I loved the darkblue theme, its perfect. But I REALLY HATE this at any RE part, having to click 5 to 10 times to get ingame after booting the game. Capcom should learn how a simple to use UI should be built ( like in the Uncharted series ) without having allways to click allways forward and backwards in that menu. And agree, the Leon scenario was the best of them, for me aswell, classic RE style rules!

I enjoyed the Chris campaign, Chris as the tough soldier. To be honest there are games out there with better feeling of such war scenarios, but its nice combined with Bows. I really think J’avos suck, because it would have made more sense to fight human terrorists or something like in Operation Raccoon City against Umbrella Security Service Soldiers instead of “fake soldiers” Javo things .. blahh I rather like real monsters or real soldiers but nothing mediocre!

I like Sherry Birkin, especially in these test cloths like in the Retribution movie mmh, delicious!

Ada scenario was adorable aswell. Using her special gun is really fun.

I really loved to learn that I can costomize the camera settings and the ironsight, and a few things more, the serious setting, VERY GOOD, capcom.

On the other side I disliked this Bioshock and Darkspace like Mission arrow. Sure, its very effective and leads you very fast towards your targets. But there I missed the old fashioned searching at the maps of the older games, the traversing of zombie cleared ( and beautiful ) hallways and other conquered teretorries. I loved the minimap concept of ORC. And I really loved the Coop Concept of Zero, being able to switch to the partner, want to see that in RE7.

I had 2 major bug issues in my playtrough: 1 the goddamn sonuva.. camera angle at the hunt of the Haos boss of the Chriss Campaign made it almost impossible to not get killed, it took me ANNOYING 20-30 trys once I accidently made it and every move had to be perfect in order to achieve that. F**k U Capcom that annoyed me that much in this moment I would have rated the game 2 of 10 points only because of that.. And a second bug was in the pierce campaign, hunting Ada in the car, my PS3 controller didint sent the signal that Im pressing the Gas button, I had to work out that I have to release the button once in a while, that was to really annoying and not necessary. These frustrating moments are the only thing I really hated at RE6.

Things I disliked at RE6 are that Items and weapons are seperated to use ( on ps3 ) with up down or right left pov buttons. The way RE5 handled this was really fun and I rather liked this kind of UI. Its way better for the user to program the weapons ant items he want to a pov button instead of having allways to slide across them. But I liked that the UI disappeared after some time to give you the game in HD and fullscreen ( really nice on my big TV ).

And I really hate this bonus points system ( picking points from crates and killed enemys ). They should handle that like ORC in my opinion. Beside of that I’d rate RE6 8 of 10 points. And thats pretty good, because I’m giving only masterpieces like Halflife, Bioshock and last but not least The Last of Us a 10 points rating. Actually I expected a oldfashioned RE with 3rd Person cam but I got a good Action game instead wih only a breeze of horror, stunning visuals and well I’ll take rather this then nothing at all. It easily had the potential to be the 3nd best game of the entire Franchise, because it has really the high quality to be a masterpiece like Last of Us, but storywise it didnt achieved this status, thats a pity. But I personally think is still way better then RE5, which was actually rather weak.

I thought 10/10 was an overreaction.

RE6 on the other hand was just a poor game, it was frustrating and poorly paced. I found myself wanting it to be over long before it was and plodded through it with a grim determination. I didn’t enjoy it and if it hadn’t been for my flatmate (a real achievement hunter) and i playing it through in co-op I wouldn’t have played it all the way through.

The story was so crammed full of rehashed sci-fi tropes and awfully hammered in set pieces e.g. Theres an avalanche, quick jump on the snowmobiles and we’ll out run it (not only is it impossible to outrun an avalanche on a a snowmobile it is utterly ridiculous and seemed to happen for no reason, also no more than half a second previous an army of infected were on your ass but once you get into that impenetrable wooden snow chalet you are safe). That was just the one moment. It was a fairly awful game and I am someone who enjoyed 5. 5s unique settings, well paced play and overall cheesiness gave it some appeal. 6 however seemed boring, sloppy and far too serious for it’s own good.

Agreed. I must have sunk over 100 hours into that game. That’s better than a lot of RPGs!

I still play that game! I really hate how people seemed to shit all over it, despite there being functionally nothing wrong with it. Sure, It may have been lacking in content, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a good game. A friend of mine has an interesting philosophy on games; if you spend an hour playing the game for every dollar you spent on it, it was absolutely worth the money. By that logic, RE:M was worth every penny, and then some.

All because you like the “Old-School” style Resident Evil games. It´s what that made this franchise what it is. But how many people are playing the re4, re5, and/or re6 MORE then the original games…….I am really asking…….!

What that makes a good re game (or just a good game in general) to me personly is a game that will keep you coming back 1,2,5,10 or even more years in the future which i sadly must say that the RE games of recent dont even come close to…….

Just to be clear this is MY opinion…….
